Vale is countered by agile Assassins that can become untargetable like Hayabusa and Ling, as it will be difficult to catch them with his CC while they can eliminate Vale easily with their high damage.

Vale gains 1 stack of Windtalk each time he gets a kill or an assist that increases his Movement Speed by 8. This effect can stack up to 10 times.
Vale unleashes two wind blades toward the left and right of a target area, each dealing 250 (+80% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to enemies hit.
Vale sends a whirlwind in the target direction, dealing 350 (+100% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to enemies hit and knocking them airborne for 0.8s (each enemy can only be knocked airborne 1 time). When the whirlwind reaches its destination, it will remain for 1.6s while continuously dealing a total of 150 (+30% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to enemies in range.
Vale summons a windstorm at the target location, dealing a total of 150 (+30% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to enemies in the area and slowing them by 20% while continuously pulling them into its center. After 1s, the windstorm will explode, dealing 900 (+240% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage. The remaining whirlwinds will also be pulled into the center.

From my experience I will share a little about Vale - Wind talker
Burst DMG. With this equipment, Vale can deal a huge amount of damage to the enemy's main units. Lightning Truncheon can be replaced with Sky Piercer If Vale has achieved 2-4 kills and died at least 0-1 times, then he can use Sky Piercer well.
Long term fighting. With this equipment, Vale can hold his ground in long fights. With Glowing Wand and Wishing Lantern, Vale can cause trouble for enemies with high health or enemies with high healing abilities but still contributes a lot of damage in combat.
Burst DMG. This Emblem will deal massive damage to enemies, often used on low health main damage dealers to finish them off faster.
Counter Tank/ High HP. This Emblem will deal a decent amount of continuous damage to enemies that can sustain themselves in combat.
Battle Spell. Flicker is the best Battle Spell for it to escape from a fight or to create a sudden situation. You can also use Flameshot to finish off enemies trying to escape combat or to protect yourself from would-be assassins. Purify is also a good choice against enemies with a lot of CC or enemies that can mark us (Karie, Brody, Yuzhong,....)
